Recently I came across a blog post that talks about this technology so called network virtualization. I have no idea about this thing and therefore I have decided to take a serious look at it.

Now, if you are a beginner, please note that all the information provided here is just my understanding of network virtualiztion. I’m a beginner myself and I will learn more about network virtualization and update this article with latest available information. This article is a part of cloud computing basic tutorial series. If you are new to cloud computing and stuff, I recommend you to watch the three videos in the link I just linked to.

Network Virtualization Basics:

In simple words network virtualization is a process of creating smaller bandwidth channels taken from the hardware and providing it to different virtual servers. Everything is done in real time with enough security enabled. The aim is to provide better network availability to all the virtual servers and of course to cut down cost.
